Using Photoshop to Edit your Images – Example: Punch & Judy

Just the other week I spend some days in London – love that place! There is so much one can take images from, its just incredible. So, one night I had some beers at Covent Garden and – normally when I relax somewhere – I took images, hehe.

I love night shots, they are super fun to process in Lightroom or Photoshop because of all those little lights everywhere and all the shadows. The processing of this image involved

  • HDR merging (never heard of HDR? Read this to get going)
  • sharpening
  • noise reduction
  • colour change
  • perspective cropping
  • stuff removal (dirt on the lens, happens frequently to me of some reason (yes I do take a lot of care, hehe))

So, here is the final version:

PS: if you like my images, make sure to check over to my complete portfolio for more examples of HDR photography!
