New Photo: The Hidden Stay

This is a drone shot from Lapland – and if you look carefully, you notice several tracks in the snow on the frozen lakes. These tracks are from the night before when we tried to hunt for the aurora and find the best compositions. I am not very comfortable walking on ice, simply for fear that it may break, but … it didn’t. Win!

Looks like any other squirrel, right? That’s because it is – but it is cute! If you visit certain hotel complexes in Costa Rica, they will hang bananas around the arrival area to attract animal life. You know, gotta put on a show for the tourists. In this case, it worked and attracted this little guy here. He ate a full banana – but stopped every now and again to look at us as we were looking at him.

If you check online, this is an old fishing village on the Lofoten Islands in Norway. One day it might have been, but now it is just tourist accommodation. I cant help but think though – back in the days, before the Islands were overrun by tourists, people actually lived in places like this. They had the views that we admire so much every day.

You might think these are just small cracks in the ice – but every single one of those ravines is large enough to swallow people, cars, and even falling drones.
