New Photo: The Plop

This dramatic evening scene in Iceland somehow conjured the word ‘plop’ into my mind. I mean, look at that little patch of grass, it’s like it just plopped in there! I cannot even find the words to express how much I have wished for a proper sunset on that evening – and obviously, I didn’t get one!

New Photo: Watery Shapes

Take a second to think about what you are looking at. No really, take your time. Any idea?
You are looking at a drone shot of the end of river Ölfusa, taken right next to the Flói Nature Reserve. I asked why this looks so absolutely incredible and was told, that, as the river flows, it simply carries sediments that sort of get stuck on the wavy ground.

New Photo: Everything Is A Snake

That’s what our guide in Costa Rica said – don’t touch anything, don’t step on things, basically hover through the air. Always remember, everything is a snake. He proceeded to point at certain things. This branch is a snake. This stone is a snake. He pointed at a road sign – that sign … could be a snake. Reminds me of that awesome documentary about snakes on a plane…

New Photo: The King

Iceland has as many waterfalls as sheep on the road (meaning loads) – but most of them are rather small or somewhat thin. Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t make them any less beautiful, but when you get to a really big one, it’s a welcome change.
I don’t remember the name of this one, mostly because Icelandic names are impossible to pronounce, but it’s a very touristic place so if you ever go, you can’t miss it.

New Photo: The Dream

The view everyone wants, the view no one gets hehe. I had to work to get that sky in here, but the result looks exactly how I imagined the perfect night scene on the Lofoten Islands in Norway.
