New Photo: Lofoten Ripples

The Lofoten in Norway have all sorts of little beaches – and with the mountains, you can get an awesome composition in no time! Add some sunset to the equation and you can’t help but marvel at the stunning nature that presents itself behind every turn. Mind the seagulls, they are rude!

New Photo: Tokyo International Forum

Look at the size of this thing! It looks like a modern version of Hogwarts with its bridges and pathways. The Tokyo International Forum is well worth a visit if you are into photography – little tip: there are loads of reflecting surfaces in the forum, so check for unusual compositions.

New Photo: The Best View

The Lofoten Islands in Norway are something else. It doesn’t matter where you turn, it doesn’t matter where you go – there is one amazing view after another. This one here is from our Rorbu’s kitchen area! I mean, imagine having a coffee and this is the view! Oh, for reference, a Rorbu is a traditional fishing hut – just a little more modern to please the tourists, hehe.

New Photo: Follow The Red Line

I am hunting for stairs like these for years! I have never managed to find some – either the building was closed, the stairs were closed off, I couldn’t find them, or whatever – but in Cologne, Germany, I managed to find a couple that have that beautiful twisted look.

New Photo: Shades of Venice

Venice is famous for its small streets, canals, gondolas, and apparently a very bad smell in the summer. The latter I have never experienced myself – but another aspect of Venice that I didn’t really realize the first time I was there – people watching!! This picture is taken from a cafe in the city center where I spent about 3 hours just observing (and taking pictures of) the hundreds of people that rush by. Toward the end, I noticed this little scene and thought it nicely combines the spirit of that visit – busyness, an architectural marvel, history, and a simple feeling of … cool! Make sure Venice is on your list!
