New Photo: A Past Life

If you check online, this is an old fishing village on the Lofoten Islands in Norway. One day it might have been, but now it is just tourist accommodation. I cant help but think though – back in the days, before the Islands were overrun by tourists, people actually lived in places like this. They had the views that we admire so much every day.

New Photo: A Spec In The Grey

The Lofoten Islands are one of my favourite places I have ever visited. Scenes like this are everywhere – which is a problem in itself as you want to stop every 200 meters to take photos. Usually, you would have to share photo spots like this with a billion other tourists, but I went there off-season as usual and barely met other camera enthusiasts.

New Photo: Rorbu Row

These fishing huts are everywhere on the Lofoten Islands in Norway – supposedly they are traditional, though, of course, they gained an upgrade for tourists. In Svolvaer, one of the north-most cities on the Lofoten, you can jump on a speed boat to see the eagles – which is another story, but this is one of the pictures I took on the speed boat! Granted, this particular row or Rorbuers looks a bit static, but trust me when I say others have way more character.

New Photo: The Best View

The Lofoten Islands in Norway are something else. It doesn’t matter where you turn, it doesn’t matter where you go – there is one amazing view after another. This one here is from our Rorbu’s kitchen area! I mean, imagine having a coffee and this is the view! Oh, for reference, a Rorbu is a traditional fishing hut – just a little more modern to please the tourists, hehe.
