This dramatic evening scene in Iceland somehow conjured the word ‘plop’ into my mind. I mean, look at that little patch of grass, it’s like it just plopped in there! I cannot even find the words to express how much I have wished for a proper sunset on that evening – and obviously, I didn’t get one!
New Photo: The King
Iceland has as many waterfalls as sheep on the road (meaning loads) – but most of them are rather small or somewhat thin. Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t make them any less beautiful, but when you get to a really big one, it’s a welcome change.
I don’t remember the name of this one, mostly because Icelandic names are impossible to pronounce, but it’s a very touristic place so if you ever go, you can’t miss it.
New Photo: Foggy View
Have you ever gone on holiday, just to be really unlucky with the weather? So did I – sadly that happened in Iceland, where any good light can make for awesome sceneries. Well, I didn’t get the awesome light but moody foggy conditions basically straight for 5 days.
There are two options – you cry a little (which I also did) or you use the light you have and make the best out of it. This is one of the results of that endeavor.
New Photo: The Elusive One
Now – this is just in my head. I spent years trying to find a scene like this! Simple leading lines, a tree, and some awesome clouds. How can it be so hard? I see other photographers find those scenes regularly – so I wonder how! If you know of a place that fulfils these three criteria, do let me know!
New Photo: Munching Time
I mentioned the hot springs in Japan a couple of times – a place where monkeys bathe in the winter and tourists can come to watch them do it. Ok, that sounds weird, but you know what I mean, hehe.
This little fella here was just sitting at the side of the road – not being scared or anything. He tried to open a couple of backpacks, and when that failed, proceeded to eat the next twig he came across. What a life.
