The markets in Kandy, Sri Lanka, are tight and full of wares. This is a typical shop on such a market – filled to the roof with bags of spices, corn, and things I couldnt possibly describe.

Looks weird, right? This plant only grows around the Teide volcano in Tenerife. It’s about 1.5 m in height – but sadly, it was not in bloom when I was there.

Tenerife has loads of burned forest areas! I had no idea – and if this wouldn’t be impressive and somewhat weird enough, it also has proper cloud forests. Combine them and you get this!
