If you don’t know – I have a science background. This staircase here, called ‘Umschreibung’ in Munich, kinda symbolizes the process of doing research. Long hours for little pay and little progress, full of ups and downs – and every time you feel like you have a high, the next down is just around the corner. If you look from the outside, it looks cool and interesting, but if you’re the one taking the stairs … it feels like that road never ends. Huge respect to those of you that are pushing research forward – thank you for all you do!
