New Photo: The Stare

Looks like any other squirrel, right? That’s because it is – but it is cute! If you visit certain hotel complexes in Costa Rica, they will hang bananas around the arrival area to attract animal life. You know, gotta put on a show for the tourists. In this case, it worked and attracted this little guy here. He ate a full banana – but stopped every now and again to look at us as we were looking at him.

New Photo: A Past Life

If you check online, this is an old fishing village on the Lofoten Islands in Norway. One day it might have been, but now it is just tourist accommodation. I cant help but think though – back in the days, before the Islands were overrun by tourists, people actually lived in places like this. They had the views that we admire so much every day.

New Photo: Icy Waters

Standing in front of a glacier is already impressive. Flying over one with a drone is even more interesting – just look at these patterns! You might think these are just small cracks in the ice – but every single one of those ravines is large enough to swallow people, cars, and even falling drones.

New Photo: A Spec In The Grey

The Lofoten Islands are one of my favourite places I have ever visited. Scenes like this are everywhere – which is a problem in itself as you want to stop every 200 meters to take photos. Usually, you would have to share photo spots like this with a billion other tourists, but I went there off-season as usual and barely met other camera enthusiasts.

New Photo: Unexpected Motives

Sardinia has many awesome beaches – but many of them are obviously completely full of tourists. This beach here was one of the worst – huge boats would bring even bigger groups of tourists all the time as the beach is secluded and has many of these small caves that allow for some great Instagram photos. Most of the people only went to the larger caves though, so I decided to explore the smaller ones – like this one here. With a wide angle lens and after removing the people from the photo, this overcrowded spot became one of my favourite photos from Sardinia. Word of advice – don’t venture too far into the caves. Trust me.
