Iceland has many hidden gems. This is a place that we thought was a hidden gem! Turns out, it’s not so hidden anymore. One of the friends I was travelling with went here years ago, and by that time you had to park in the middle of nowhere, walk through a field for 40 min, and arrive at this location. Well, now you arrive at a proper parking slot, paved walkways with fences, and a mass of people.
New Photo: Icy Waters
Here is just a quick shot from icy Iceland! It was already super dark and we flew around with our drones – which is actually a bit scary as you never know when you fly into another drone! Anyway, it was quite too dark for my little drone so I had to reduce the noise in the photo a lot, but the picture doesn’t need a lot of details which makes it still work. There was also a seal swimming around all the time, but of course, it didn’t show up when you needed it to complete your photo…
New Photo: Cracked Flow
Iceland has tons of waterfalls – some larger, some smaller. Some of them are very touristic, and the ones that weren’t up until now seem to get there more and more – but this particular one isn’t! Over time, you will see a shot similar to this more and more – but I just love how the stones in the foreground create that natural frame for the waterfall!
New Photo: The Hunted View
You know what’s the problem with every good reflection? It requires calm water, which often means … flies! Will I fondly remember this place? Maybe. But I will definitely remember the fury for being hunted by 1000 little annoying flies!
New Photo: The Power Of Three
To get this shot, I had to fly my drone into a canyon in Iceland. I actually just wanted to get a nice picture of the waterfall, but as I was approaching, a friend of mine noticed the three sheep! Initially, they were just scattered around, but as I came closer, they converged at the edge and just all looked towards the waterfall. I don’t know why and neither do I care – I do thank them though!
