How To Turn Any Lens Into A Macro Lens | Beginner Tip

Welcome back! Today is a little different! Today we are talking about a little trick that I always recommend to beginners in Photography – how to turn any lens into a macro lens.

Here is the thing – when you are starting out in Photography, you do not really know into which area in Photography you might go. It could be landscapes, it could be portraits, it could be macro… But initially, you will have your first camera and a kit lens, that’s it!

So before buying a macro lens, check out the video above to see how you can use any lens to test the macro feel for you. If you like it, you can then jump right in to get a proper lens to pump up that image quality 🙂

Keep in mind, this is not a technique that can replace a proper macro lens, this is just a tip that you can use if you have never tried it before buying one.

Here are some images that I shot with this during the making of the video:

Give it a try, nothing to lose as you will only use a lens that you have already! Just remember to clean the lens and the sensor after doing this, as there might be a good amount of dust entering the sensor. Keep this in mind and only try this if you have a little blower 🙂

Until next time!
